The Virgin Mary.

I've had this one around for a while,  still working on it.

Also, here is a few shots of my Blessed Virgin Mary sculpture while it was still clay.

  1. OK, I was BLOWN AWAY to see the name of your blog. I am an American Celtophiole of largely German descent...who chose Tutilo as my patron saint when I was confirmed in an Orthodox Church in 2006. (I actually used "Tuathal," the Irish translation of Tutilo). I have since become an Anglican, got remarried, and changed my name to Tuathal...and am a neophyte Iconographer with a blog at http://www.IconicJourney.blogspot.com I was just SO struck by the notion that ANOTHER artist had chosen this somewhat obscure saint as their Patron!

  2. Peter, precious artist! Your rendition of Our Lady is so breathtakingly real that she could easily break into song - or start telling me a story - she's human, which she truly was. Too many people think she is above humanness. Not true. Though she perfected womanhood, she understood and continues to understand our mortal flaws - because she experienced so many trials during her own life. You are amazing grace! And I heartily thank you for sharing your talents with the world. Mother Teresa once said to me, "The world is hungry not only for food, but also for beauty!" This was her way of encouraging my own art. But her words were perfectly accurate! Beauty heals. And this Madonna you recently created speaks volumes about motherhood, womanhood, and especially tender forgiveness. God bless you! You're a giant!
